Shipping & delivery
Columbus — within 20 miles
- Free white-glove delivery, no order minimum.
- Order by 4pm for same-day delivery between 9am and 8pm. Orders after 4pm arrive the next day.
- We bring your plant inside and place it where you want it. Contactless porch drop-off available on request.
- You'll get a text when we're on our way.
Central Ohio — 20 to 100 miles
- 20–80 miles: $30 delivery fee, $150 order minimum, same or next day.
- 80–100 miles: $50 delivery fee, $175 order minimum, within 2 days.
Everywhere else in the US
- We ship to the 48 continental states. Free shipping on orders over $75.
- Plants ship bare-root — the proven nursery method — and arrive in 2–4 business days with repotting and care instructions.
- Heat packs included in winter months at no charge.
- The plant you receive will be similar in size and appearance to the listing photo.
Plant health promise
Because plants are living things, our promise works differently than a standard return policy. We'll diagnose what's going on, send you personalized care steps, and — in Columbus — make a house call if needed. If we shipped you a plant that arrived damaged or unhealthy, we'll replace it. All we ask is that you follow the care advice we provide.
Refunds & returns
We don't accept returns or offer refunds on live plants once delivered or picked up — they're living things, and their health depends on their environment from day one. Instead, every plant is covered by our plant health promise above.
- Damaged in shipping: text us a photo within 48 hours of arrival for a free replacement.
- Wrong item: we'll deliver or ship the correct plant at no charge — keep the original.
- Pots and accessories: unused items can be returned within 30 days for a full refund.
Privacy
We collect only what we need to run the shop: your name, contact details, delivery address, order history, and — if you opt in — your phone number for care reminders. We use it to fulfill orders, provide care support, and (if you subscribed) send our newsletter.
- We never sell your personal information.
- Payments are processed by Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout; we never see your card number.
- Text-message care reminders are opt-in and stop the moment you reply STOP.
- Email us at hello@joeyshouseplants.com to access or delete your data anytime.

- This site is operated by Joey's Houseplants, Columbus, Ohio. By ordering, you agree to these terms.
- Prices and availability can change without notice; if we can't fulfill your order, we'll refund it in full.
- Plant colors and sizes vary naturally — the plant you receive will closely resemble the listing photo, but no two plants are identical.
- We may refuse or cancel orders at our discretion (e.g., suspected fraud or addresses outside our delivery area).
- Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your order.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ohio, USA.
